Toenail Fungus Treatment

Toenail fungus spreads very quickly and can withstand aggressive treatments. This means regular fungal products are not enough to fight the infection.

That’s where laser treatment comes in.

During the procedure, a laser beam will be focused on the affected area where it is absorbed by the fungal colony. The laser produces thermal energy that heats and destroys the enzymes in the fungus thus destroying its ability to replicate. The treatment typically lasts 2 minutes per toenail and you can expect to feel a warm sensation.

Note that our nail fungus treatment targets all ten toes regardless of whether they are affected to protect them against the rapidly spreading fungi spores.

Repeated treatments are necessary to effectively cure the infection. Treatments can take anywhere between 6 and 12 months.

You should start to see results in 2 – 3 months. But since toenails take a while to grow, the big toenail may take up to twelve months to grow from bottom to top. However, you will still see a gradual clearing of the toenails until they are fully clear. We recommend applying nail polish on the treated toes to mask any signs of nail fungus until you have a new set of healthy, clear nails.
